Yogyakarta International Airport (Indonesian: Bandar Udara Internasional Yogyakarta) (IATA: YIA, ICAO: WAHI) is an airport located at Temon district of Kulon Progo Regency, which serves the Yogyakarta Special Region, in Java, Indonesia.
The airport is operated by Angkasa Pura I. The airport replaced Adisutjipto International Airport of Yogyakarta. The airport commenced operations on the 6th of May 2019 with the first arrival, a Citilink flight from Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport. Commercial flights would be gradually relocated from the old Adisucipto International Airport. The airport became fully operated on 29 March, 2020 with all scheduled flights (except turboprops and other non-commercial flights) relocated from the old airport.

The Yogyakarta International Airport was built in Kulon Progo is much bigger and more modern than the old airport thats called Adisucipto Airport. How To Get Yogyakarta International Airport from the city of Yogyakarta:
- DAMRI Bus: Departs from DAMRI Pool at Yogyakarta to Yogyakarta International Airport and vice versa. There are 12 fleets available to serve passengers. It’s need around 90 minutes to reach Yogyakarta International Airport from the city of Yogyakarta. The DAMRI bus is still free until May 12. The normal rate is IDR 40.000 from Jogja.
- Satelqu: A type of shuttle car from Yogyakarta to Yogyakarta International Airport and vice versa. 10 fleets available. Mileage is the same as DAMRI, around 90 minutes.
- Airport Trans Station: Start from Tugu station to Wojo station located in Purworejo. Well, from Wojo station take the shuttle bus to YIA airport. 60 minutes travel time. Open rate is IDR 15.000 rupiah until 9 May. After that it’s normal IDR 30.000.
